Seasonal Service Assistant (Part Time)

POSITION SUMMARY
The seasonal (May-October) service assistant is responsible for bussing & cleaning tables, washing glassware, running food orders, and re-stocking service ware in our Portland Taproom. This position requires a hardworking, hospitality-minded individual who can uphold high standards of excellence in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Reinforcing the company culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Bussing tables, restocking items, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring FOH is safe and meets or exceeds expectations at all times.
  • Washing & maintaining clean glassware/barware levels in taproom & Garden bar areas.
  • Promptly transporting food orders from the Kitchen to guest tables.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down for events or daily operations.
  • Anticipating guest and team needs.
  • Relay customer feedback to FOH management.
  • Uphold responsible alcohol service, sanitation, and food safety principles.
  • Constantly striving to enhance the guest experience.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile for guests & fellow team members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

  • Welcoming and helpful attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to utilize independent problem-solving and decision-making skills in real time
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing needs during high-volume service periods
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Alcohol Responsibility: acknowledging BBB's responsible use policy and recognizing its role while working in an active production/brewing facility
  • Desire to honor Bissell Brothers Brewing Values and work as a team player
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including evenings and weekends
