GUEST SERVICE ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY

This Guest Service Assistant’s objective is to ensure visitors have the ultimate experience at Bissell Brothers’ Portland HQ. Primary tasks are flexibly operating a host station, running food for bar/events space, and assisting in the bussing of tables. This position requires an engaging, professional communicator with the ability to put others at ease, quickly building relationships based on mutual trust and benefit. This person takes direction from the Taproom Manager and Assistant Taproom Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

• Reinforcing the company culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Welcome, guide and educate guests, manage taproom flow
• Communicate available seating and wait times
• Bus tables, restock items, maintain a clean taproom and workspace, ensure
• FOH is safe and meets or exceeds expectations at all times
• Promptly transporting food orders from Kitchen to Bar/Lounge space
• Always busying self with FOH tasks to assist team as needed
• Anticipate guest and team needs
• Relay customer feedback to Taproom management and relevant parties
• Handling customer requests, feedback, complaints
• Uphold responsible alcohol service, sanitation and food safety principles
• Constantly striving to enhance the guest experience
• Checks in on tables, seek customer experience and input
• Willingness to go extra mile for guests

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Welcoming and Helpful attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have basic familiarity with the entirety of BBB brands and BBK offerings and ability to convey to public
• Must be able to utilize independent problem solving and decision making skills in real time
• Ability to multitask and prioritize competing needs in a fast paced environment
• Must be of legal age to work with and serve alcohol
• Alcohol Responsibility: acknowledging BBB responsible use policy and recognizing role in greater alcohol production facility and brewing industry
• Desire to honor Bissell Brothers Brewing Values and work as a team player
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts; including evenings and weekends

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will require long periods of standing on hard surfaces. There is also likely to be moderate lifting of supplies and materials and moderate to loud noise. The use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects is required. Finger dexterity is required for point of sale use. May inadvertently bump into team members in a relatively small work area. Will stand and walk for extended periods of time. Frequent hand washing and sanitation is required.
