Parental Leave
Employees who give birth to a child will receive 8 weeks of paid leave for birth and recovery from birth. All new parents, whether through birth or adoption, will receive two weeks of paid baby bonding leave. A total of 10 weeks is offered when combining recovery and baby bonding. An employee may also use accrued Paid Time Off to extend their leave.
Paid Time Off
Full Time staff receive their Paid Time Off in lump sums on their hire date.
- First Year Employees receive 80 hours after 90 days
- Years 1-4 receive 120 hours
- Years 5-9 receive 160 hours
- 10+ will receive 200 hours
- 40 hours can be rolled over annually
- Part Time staff receive the same accruals, but Paid Time Off is divided by 2.

NOW HIRING
This person’s objective is to ensure visitors have the ultimate experience at BBB’s Thompson’s Point location. They will be the primary point of contact for taproom guests entering and exiting the space, and will assist taproom staff in constantly monitoring and managing the space to ensure quality customer experience. This position requires an engaging, professional communicator with the ability to put others at ease, quickly building relationships based on mutual trust and benefit. This person takes direction from the Taproom Manager and Assistant Manager who take direction from the head of operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Reinforcing the company culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
- Welcome, guide and educate guests, manage taproom flow; Communicate available seating and wait times
- Bus tables, restock items, maintain a clean taproom and workspace, ensure FOH is safe and meets or exceeds expectations at all times
- Always busying self with FOH tasks to assist team as needed
- Anticipate guest and team needs
- Relay customer feedback to Taproom management and relevant parties;
Handling customer requests, feedback, complaints - Uphold responsible alcohol service, sanitation and food safety principles
- Constantly striving to enhance the guest experience
- Checks in on tables, seek customer experience and input
- Willingness to go extra mile for guests
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Welcoming and Helpful attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have basic familiarity with the entirety of BBB brands and BBK offerings and ability to convey to public
- Must be able to utilize independent problem solving and decision making skills in real time
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing needs in a fast paced environment
- Must be of legal age to work with and serve alcohol
- Alcohol Responsibility; full understanding that they are a representative of not only BBB, but of the alcohol beverage industry and must honor the BBB responsible use policy
- Desire to honor Bissell Brothers Brewing Values and work as a team player
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts; including evenings and weekends
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position will require long periods of standing on hard surfaces. There is also likely to be moderate lifting of supplies and materials up to 30 pounds and exposure to moderate to loud noise. The use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects is required. Finger dexterity is required for point of sale use. Will stand and walk for extended periods of time. Frequent hand washing and sanitation is required.

The food runner will work closely with taproom staff to provide an enjoyable experience for patrons throughout their dining experience. This person takes direction from the Taproom Manager and Assistant Manager who take direction from the head of operations.

- Delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately
- Relay customer feedback to Taproom management and relevant parties; Handling customer requests, feedback, complaints; Acting as a real time point of contact between taproom and kitchen staff
- Bus tables, restock items, maintain a clean taproom and workspace, ensure FOH is safe and meets or exceeds expectations at all times
- Always busying self with FOH tasks to assist team as needed
