FOUR WEEKS OF GIVING

You better watch out, you better not cry. You BETTER not. Because it’s Christmas!!!!!! And with only six short shopping days left, the season has never made us feel more like the festively decorated walls are closing in.

If the holidays tend to make you feel more stressed than blessed, perhaps it’s time to look into other ways of spreading all of that holiday cheer you’re brimming with. Despite Amazon’s insidious convenience and progressive robot employment policy, they don’t need your money. But there are many charities out there that do.

That’s why we started our Four Weeks of Giving program four years ago and continue to feel so lucky to play a small part in the ongoing missions of the wonderful organizations we work with every year. After moving into our Thompson’s Point location in 2016, we felt a desire to give back to our community, which has always been so supportive of us and our endeavors. A month long holiday charity + goods drive seemed an obvious place to start.

The charities that we have worked with over the years range from ones that gather school supplies for children to ones that find homes for animals, but we always keep the focus on hyper local Maine charities where the donations received go directly into the programs to make a difference where it matters most.

Weeks one and two in Portland were dedicated to Gulf of Maine Research Institute and Winter Kids respectively. As we roll into weeks three and four, here is the rundown of our chosen charities both in Portland and Milo:
